Troy dining chair was designed for IKEA in 1959 for the 1960 collection and sold under the Swedish name Troja.
The dining chair was manufactured by Magnus Olesen who was a good friend of Kai Kristiansen. To begin with when they met Olesens workshop was nothing but a shed, but by the time their collaboration came to an end Olesen had built an impressive production unit.
The arms of Troy are curved and the back is round, which bear similarities to the Paper Knife chair, which Magnus Olesen also contributed to.
